Storyteq: the story of my first dalliance with B2B SaaS content writing

My manager knew that to market a complicated and relatively new-on-the-scene Software as a Service (SaaS) product, it was my lack of technical bias that would help similarly minded audiences understand what it is we do. 'Beginner's Mind', it's called in some circles. Hello, my fellow laymen!

Job: Storyteq helps creative and marketing teams in leading brands to automate their creative production and activate on-brand marketing campaigns with better content in every market and channel, faster. They do this through their innovative Creative Automation and dynamic templates solution.

Storyteq's CEO once interestingly asked me how I'd explain the concept of Creative Automation to the older children I taught when I was a primary school educator. That might best summarise what Creative Automation can do here in this blog too. Prepare for my teacher voice... "Do you know Mentos? Well, do you think other kids in the world eat those sweets? They do indeed, because it's a global [gestures with hands to make a sphere] company that produce those delicious things for children and adults, everywhere. But when you see an ad on TikTok for Mentos, you can read and understand the words used - like their latest, "Yes, so fresh". The actors in the ad probably look like you too. The prices shown will be in the currency you use. But languages, actors and prices will be different in, say, Colombia. But graphic artists and designers from Mentos in Colombia and London create these ads on their computers, from scratch. Would it not be easier if they created one ad that is editable? Where languages, actors and prices are swapped out and replaced depending on the country?"

That's a quick background and product pack swap with Creative Automation. Deliverable to the world in minutes. This translates to big savings for brands on time and money.

Job brief: I was the content ideas-maker in Storyteq, working as the lead Content Marketing Writer and Producer.

I was solely responsible for creating top, middle and bottom funnel content across different mediums, personas and channels which is SEO-optimised every step of the way. This includes, but is not limited to: blog articles, case studies, web pages, email marketing, social media, guides, slide decks, sales collateral and more. Tools I use: Semrush, Hubspot, Jira, Asana, Notion, Confluence, Wordpress, Divi/Yoast, Miro, Hemingway/ChatGPT (or I could use Jenni.ai as my writing-research assistant, but this one hits a bit close to home...)

Ideas and results: Let's discuss these further in person or over a call.

Included in the zip file below, you'll find:

  • A sample educational blog (about 10-12 blogs of mine can be found here https://storyteq.com/blog/)

  • A couple of sample case studies (All of the other case studies I created can be found at this link: https://storyteq.com/case-studies/)

  • An expert interview article

  • Landing page(s) - e.g. solutions and industries pages which detail how our product can solve customer problems

  • the Storyteq's website homepage, which I co-created with the Marketing Director

  • It's About page

  • A client newsletter example and a step from an email marketing nurturing flow after a guide download (this step: the proof/testimonial)

  • A part of a marketing guide (only a section because it was 15+ pages long; unpublished due to a rebrand and change of narrative)

  • A LinkedIn post created in conjunction with a blog around our CEO's thoughts in AI and its role in creative production

  • LinkedIn ad campaigns.

Enjoy!
